Spoiler
Two years later, as Logan is waiting in the line of a security checkpoint, he watches an advertisement for Trask Industries (the company known for launching the Sentinels) on a monitor overhead. When he reaches the metal detector, he requests for a pat-down instead. Logan then notices magnetic disturbances (such as coins floating, keys rattling, etc.) around the nearby imaging machine. He quickly turns around with his fist raised and his claws out (bones only and still missing adamantium), but his attack is stopped mid-swing by the mutant power of Magneto (Ian McKellan), standing directly behind him in line and in civilian clothes. Straining, Logan asks Magneto, “What do you want?” Magneto replies, “There are dark forces… new forces, building a weapon that could bring about an end of our talent… I want your help.” Logan, still straining in mid-swing, asks, “Why would I trust you?” Magneto says, “You wouldn’t”, and releases Logan from his grip. Logan then notices that everybody else around them is completely still, marking the entrance of Professor X (Patrick Stewart). As he navigates through the crowd in his motorized wheelchair, he says, “Hello, Logan.” Wolverine asks, “How is this possible?” because Professor X had died during X-Men: The Last Stand. Professor X replies, “As I told you a long time ago, you’re not the only one with gifts.” Logan stares back at Professor X for a while, turns around to look at Magneto, then turns back around at Professor X.
