Taking a page out of Rockstar’s book, CDProjektRed has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming highly anticipated Witcher sequel that showcases all of its revolutionary new features.
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt you become Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer for hire. You take on the greatest contract of your life — tracking down the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world. Your journey will take you across the Northern Realms, a vast continent filled with merchant cities, mysterious islands, dangerous mountain passes, and forgotten caverns to explore. Hundreds of armour and weapon upgrades await you, with lethal sword and magic skills at your disposal. The world of The Witcher just begs to be explored — welcome to the most realistic and personal fantasy of our times!
As if you needed to be sold any more on the game, the narrator of the latest trailer explains how The Witcher 3 will take you on an a wild adventure that’s both legendary and grounded in reality. The Witcher 3‘s vision is CDProjektRed’s most ambitious project yet with a varied open world landscape that’s brimming with conflict. Monsters, vampires, dragons, and other ruthless foes await you on your hunt for the Child of Prophecy.
CDPR has even revealed that professional speedrunners they hired were only able to complete the 200+ hour game in 25 hours… so get ready to say bye-bye to real life when Geralt returns May 19, 2015 in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
