The Punisher Short Film ‘Dirty Laundry’

Thomas Jane’s Unofficial Take is Amazing

July 16, 2012 by

With Marvel recently getting the rights to The Punisher back and everything they make becoming box office gold, it’s no surprise that Thomas Jane might want to reprise his role as Frank Castle after not being a part of the sequel, The Punisher: War Zone. Although a new Punisher movie is still not official, Jane and some of his friends, including director Phil Joanou and Ron Perlman, have produced this amazing short film that’s sure to solidify him coming back if Marvel does in fact decide to continue with the movie series.

At Comic-Con, Jane revealed the unofficial “Dirty Laundry” short that asks the question “What’s the difference between justice and punishment?” Using a very gritty hard-R style and The Dark Knight‘s score, Dirty Laundry is ten minutes of awesomeness that’s as good, if not better, than any of the previous Punisher movies. Check out the full-length short shown at Comic-Con and what Jane had to say about it below:

“I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”
