Ubisoft’s press conference two years ago was all about Watch Dogs. Ubisoft’s press conference one year ago was all about Tom Clancy’s The Division. That’s because even with Watch Dogs a year away from release, it was clear last year that while Watch Dogs had a great debut, the cross-gen development was holding the game back — which turned out to be the case as you can see in our review.
At their last media briefing, Ubisoft needed something to show what a game being developed only for next-gen systems would offer, and that’s where The Division came in teasing a more massive multiplayer experience with far superior graphics.
At this year’s E3, we got to see two new looks at The Division involving gameplay at Microsoft’s Media Briefing and a stunning cinematic sequence at Ubisoft’s. Neither of which we ever wanted to end!
We’ll have more details on The Division later this week when we check out Ubisoft’s booth at the show, but until then, be sure to check out both amazing teasers. Tom Clancy’s The Division was recently delayed and is now set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2015.
