Touchdown! If you didn’t catch the first official trailer for Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman movie in theaters before the Sherlock Holmes sequel and have been late to the party when trying to watch versions taken off YouTube all weekend, here it finally is below… in glorious 1080p HD. (Hopefully this version doesn’t get taken down, too.)
Like Darth Baner’s creepy mumbly voice, this trailer sent chills down my spine. Plenty of goodies in there, including a brief glimpse of the Batwing and Catwoman threatening Bruce Wayne with some Occupy Gotham comments (isn’t he the 1%… of the 1%?), but my only minor gripe is the clip of the prison break. That looked kinda weak, right? The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012.
