During the Credits
Half a minute into the credits of Penguins of Madagascar, there is an extra scene with cameos. Click below to reveal more details:
Spoiler
The credits cut to black, and Private says, “Um, Skipper, we are going to turn me back to normal, right?” Skipper responds, “Absolutely. First thing Monday.” A title card preceding the extra scene reveals that it is now Thursday afternoon. The extra scene features cameo appearances by King Julien (voiced by Danny Jacobs, not Sacha Baron Cohen) and Mort (Andy Richter). As Kowalski tries to deflect King Julien’s repeated attempts to push the button on the mutation ray’s remote control, the stinger reveals that Mort’s cuteness is harnessed to power the ray’s reversal effects and restore Private to his normal form. The penguins leave to enjoy “frosty mugs of herring juice,” which Skipper says Private will be buying. Mort seems unaffected at first, to which Julien comments, “You know, if I’m being honest, I expected a little more… pizzazz!” Mort suddenly swallows Julien whole, and Julien exclaims, “Yes! Now that’s pizzazz!”
The scene lasts about one minute. The next minute and a half of credits go back to the style of the first half minute, presented as the interface of the North Wind’s high-tech gadgets. The last seven and a half minutes crawl with a similar, but more generic, background.
