With the highly anticipated films The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers slated for next summer, what will comic-book fans have to look forward to in 2013? Another Superman reboot, which started principal photography this month and has just released its first look at Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel.
This time the Superman story will be produced by living legend Christopher Nolan (Memento, Inception), written by his Batman collaborator David S. Goyer, and directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), a favorite of ours at MediaStinger. The all-star cast includes Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner and Oscar nominees Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. If you haven’t heard of Henry Cavill, the next Clark Kent, you can check him out this fall in Immortals. The big-budgeted and high-profile Man of Steel is aiming for a release date of June 14, 2013.
