Metal Gear Solid: Rising was announced back in 2009 as the first Metal Gear game to be coming to Xbox 360. Since that 2009 announcement, there hasn’t been much in terms of new information about the game. Turns out that’s because the game has over gone some massive changes, like a new name and a new developer. The studio behind Bayonetta, Platinum Games, is now developing the game with Kojima and Konami under the new title “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance”.
Revengeance looks to merge Platinum’s Bayonetta playstyle into the Metal Gear universe, an idea which is sure to garner mixed reactions from fans of Metal Gear‘s tactical espionage genre. To be quite honest, I’m not even sure what the hell I just watched besides Raiden from the Metal Gear franchise cutting a whole hell of a lot of shit up including people into tons of little bits and pieces. Check out the wild new trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance below.
