As the fall rematch between Electronic Arts’ rebooted Medal of Honor and Activision’s juggernaut Call of Duty franchises draws closer, Treyarch’s Black Ops II has already drawn first blood here at E3 when it concluded Microsoft’s media briefing with new campaign demo footage. But don’t count out Medal of Honor: Warfighter yet.
A couple months ago, EA’s new trailer wowed us with a first look at Medal of Honor: Warfighter‘s gameplay, now armed with developer DICE’s Frostbine 2 engine, the same one that made Battlefield 3 the visual victor over Modern Warfare 3 last year and ultimately being honored as our pick for Best Looking Game of 2011.
Yesterday at its media briefing event (which we did not have the pleasure of attending… c’mon, EA! sad face), Electronic Arts unveiled a new campaign demo that was as thrilling as it was explosive. You can check out the Frostbite 2 engine in full effect in the video now.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is set for release on October 23, 2012, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
