Being one of Marvel’s most adorable moments and beloved extra scenes during/after the credits of their films, it was only a matter of time before we started seeing dancing Groot merchandise.
Marvel’s Executive Editorial Director, Ryan Penagos (@AgentM), tweeted out the following news:
It’s real! The first official Dancing Groot toy, from the amazing folks at @OriginalFunko! #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy
Although it’s not the exact replica that many were hoping for, and it doesn’t actually dance, the Funko bobblehead is an adorable gift that most Marvel collectors are going to be dying to get their hands on. Still no word on when you can get one, but Penagos did promise more price and release info soon.
With Guardians of the Galaxy being this summer’s biggest hit at the box office and the holiday season right around the corner, there’s sure to be even more dancing Groot memorabilia hitting store shelves soon. Penagos’ tweet hints at this saying only that this is the first dancing Groot toy, not the dancing Groot toy.
