In a recent post on Facebook, which you can read in full here, James Gunn discussed the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy 2D and 3D IMAX versions. When asked whether there would be something after the credits, Gunn replied back to fan stating:
There will be a little something special at the very end of the movie. Very special. But that’s all I can say about it. I’m not sure we’re even going to have it at the premiere so it’s not spoiled online for everyone seeing the film.
Marvel did the same thing with the first Iron Man film and also in The Avengers by not including the scene after the credits in the pre-screenings and premiers so that fans could get a nice surprise opening night. Could it be another shot of Thanos now that Josh Brolin has been cast in the role? Make sure to not write off Guardians as having nothing extra during or after the credits just because a reviewer doesn’t mention anything!
