During the Credits
There are multiple extra scenes during the credits of God of War.
Spoiler
The credits begin playing over the final scene of the game as Kratos and Atreus begin their walk back down the peak of Jötunheim.
It is revealed during the credits that Atrrus’ real name is Loki, given to him by his Giant mother, and that Kratos named Atreus after a Spartan warrior he once knew.
After the Credits
There is a stinger and extra content after the credits of God of War.
Spoiler
After returning from Jötunheim, Mímir warns Kratos and Atreus that the three-year long Fimbulwinter has begun early. And that Ragnarök is about to start one hundred years too soon.
The player can then continue playing and completing side-quests in the open-world.
If Kratos and Atreus return home, a secret final ending cutscene reveals that Thor will arrive at the end of Fimbulwinter.
