After just one week since its release on YouTube, Call of Duty‘s first look at its upcoming next installment in the series has already become the most disliked trailer in YouTube’s history.
As of right now, Infinity Ward’s trailer has 282,888 likes and 1,449,948 dislikes — making it the fifth most disliked video on YouTube — passing “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus at 1.2 mil dislikes and on the verge of soon passing “Gangnam Style” by Psy at 1.5 mil down votes. But both Cyrus’ and Psy’s videos are over three years old… so buckle up, Major Tom, because things are only going to get more turbulent for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which is still months away from release.
To put into comparison to Activision’s previous games, last year’s Black Ops III reveal currently has 80,945 dislikes and 398,730 likes while 2014’s Advanced Warfare only has 52,071 dislikes and 223,461 likes.
Meanwhile, EA and DICE are taking advantage of the situation and have released their own reveal trailer for Battlefield 1 , which seems to have converted all of the Infinite Warfare hate into love with 1,143,618 likes and only 20,714 dislikes for the new World War 1-themed shooter.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set for release with a copy of the original Modern Warfare remastered on November 4, 2016, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
