Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Reveal Trailer

Finally... Activision is ditching the old consoles for more advanced tech.

Modern warfare is over. Welcome to Advanced Warfare, the next and 11th game in Activision’s mega-blockbuster franchise, Call of Duty. Actually, just watch the reveal trailer below, and let Frank Underwood Oscar winner Kevin Spacey properly welcome you.

That might be the best Call of Duty trailer ever, which is saying something because most of them are pretty damn sweet.

I used to be a huge fan of Call of Duty. But after my Black Ops II campaign kept freezing at the same spot over and over again, I quit and didn’t even touch last year’s Ghosts. After that Advanced Warfare trailer though, I’ll most definitely be playing the next CoD, which features elements from
Elysium and the last Mission Impossible in a world where the military is all about what cooperation, not country, you’re from.

Sledgehammer Games co-developed Modern Warfare 3 with Infinity Ward, but Advanced Warfare is primarily Sledgehammer’s as the developer officially joins Infinity Ward and Treyarch to form Activision’s new three-year Call of Duty rotation. This gives each developer an additional year on top of what they’ve been used to while pumping out iterations of the massively popular FPS series every other year, so we’ll probably be seeing a step up in the quality of Call of Duty in the future.

Let’s hope that future is soon and that Advanced Warfare is the first CoD to truly revolutionize a franchise some gamers are tired of. Hopefully we’ll get some more details regarding that next month at E3.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set for release on November 4, 2014.

Hat tip to Bungoo for the news lead.
