Bethesda Announces Doom: Eternal at E3 2018

Doomguy is Back... just in time for Hell on Earth.

June 18, 2018 by

While most tuning in to Bethesda’s BE3 2018 showcase were there for a first look at Fallout 76 and a potential new Elder Scrolls game, the reveal of a new Doom game is what has us most hyped.

Sadly, no gameplay footage was shown of the upcoming Doom Eternal, but in the first look, the devs teased the return of ‘Hell of Earth,’ just as the original sequel did back in 1994.

Thankfully, id Software seems to not just be bringing Doomguy back, but also Mick Gordon for the soundtrack — which is especially exciting considering the music was one of best features of the Doomslayer’s kickass return in 2016.

While details for Doom Eternal are slim, the game’s Executive Producer, Marty Stratton, revealed that there will be twice as many new types of demons to slay in the sequel.

Bethesda and id haven’t announced an official release date yet, but are planning to reveal a first look at gameplay later this summer at QuakeCon in August.
