Co-op was the trend this year with many of the biggest games adding the ability to play through their campaigns with 2-4 other players cooperatively and one game easily stood out from the rest. Valve’s Portal 2 introduced co-op to the award-winning series, which was equally if not even more fun than the campaign itself, and it truly forced friends to work together and most likely ended more friendships than it created due to its difficulty. There were many games that featured great co-op modes this year, but none managed to capture the true spirit of cooperative player better than Valve’s mind-blowing puzzle sequel. Winner: Portal 2.
