As technology evolves and budgets for games get bigger, games just keep getting better and better looking. 2011 showcased the greatest looking games of all time and proved that even consoles can produce some pretty damn good looking games. Every game on this year’s list was visually stunning and would have won last year’s award, making this yet another very hard and close decision, but Battlefield 3‘s photo-realistic art direction on the new Frostbite 2 engine is what made it stand out as not only the best looking game, but most realistic of 2011. Winner: Battlefield 3.
