With no gameplay shown yet, it’s still not clear whether the next Batman game from new developer Warner Bros. Games Montreal will be good. But without a doubt, one thing is for certain: WB Montreal knows how to make a damn good trailer. We’re sure to see more details next month at E3, but for now all we have is this amazing CGI trailer and a release date.
Arkham Origins could very well end up just being a slightly updated version of the Arkham series as Warner Bros plays it safe before the next generation of consoles hit, but still, even without Rocksteady (who may be working on a next-gen Batman game), the series seems to be in very good hands. Arkham Origins will release worldwide Oct 25, 2013, for all current-gen consoles. Check out more details and the official full trailer below.
Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships.
Deathstroke will be a fully playable character in the challenge mode for Batman: Arkham Origins™, and will come complete with his own unique weapons and special moves. Fans who pre-order the game for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 system or Windows PC will receive exclusive early access to the Deathstroke pack containing two additional challenge maps and two alternate Deathstroke character skins.
