During the Credits

There is an extra scene shown during the credits of Ant-Man with certain main characters returning and teasing the future roles they’ll play. The mid-credits stinger begins nearly two minutes into the credits and lasts a full minute.

Spoiler
In the extra mid-credits scene, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) leads his daughter, Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), to a secret room in his basement. He tells her, “There’s something I want to show you. I realized you can’t destroy power. All you can do is to make sure that it’s in the right hands.” He reveals a Wasp suit and says, “This is an advanced prototype that your mother and I worked on together. She never got to use it. But now I realize that we were… we were working on it for you.” Hope looks back in astonishment at Hank, who continues, “Maybe it’s time we finished it.” Hope looks at the prototype again, smiles, and says, “It’s about damn time.” This strongly hints that Lilly, who reportedly signed a multi-film contract with Marvel, will appear as Wasp in upcoming films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After the Credits

There is a huge extra scene after the credits of Ant-Man with even bigger key characters showing up and setting up Captain America: Civil War. Beginning nearly six minutes after the end of the mid-credits extra scene described above, the post-credits stinger lasts over half a minute.

Spoiler
In the second extra scene, Captain America / Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) are shown in civilian clothes standing around an apprehended Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Falcon tells Cap, “This would’ve been a lot easier a week ago,” a likely reference to the newly signed Superhero Registration Act that puts Captain America and Tony Stark / Iron Man on opposing sides in Captain America: Civil War, the first film of the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Ant-Man is the last film of Phase Two). Captain America says, “If we call Tony-“, but Falcon interjects, “He won’t believe us.” Cap continues, “Even if he did-“, but Falcon interrupts him again and asks, “Who knows if the Accords will even let him help?” Cap realizes that “we’re on our own.” Falcon says, “Maybe not. I know a guy.” The post-credits extra scene ends with a title card that states “ANT-MAN WILL RETURN”. This after-credits stinger was filmed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, the directors of Captain America: Civil War. They have stated that the scene will reappear in Civil War, but it may be presented in different angles via different takes.
