One of my biggest pet peeves is the early marketing of Christmas, whether it’s for Christmas-themed movies or sales at stores, I can’t stand seeing ads relating to Christmas before other holidays like Thanksgiving and Halloween. It seems like every year Christmas-related marketing starts earlier and earlier with corporate America getting more greedy. The Christmas season starts the day after Thanksgiving on Black Friday and ads should only start during the days leading up to it.
But enough of my ranting, Harold & Kumar get a pass this time due to the series being one of the last hysterical R-rated comedies in an era of nothing but PG-13 crap (don’t get me started), especially since the movie looks to use a lot of cheesy 3D and almost break the 4th wall to mock its use. Here’s the first official trailer for the upcoming third Harold & Kumar movie, which despite even having the word “Christmas” in the title, is set for release four days after Halloween on November 4, 2011.
