During the Credits
There’s an extra scene during the credits of Hope Springs. Check out more details and spoilers below.
Spoiler
The extra scene, which lasts for four minutes, shows Kay and Arnold fulfilling Kay’s fantasy of renewing their vows on a beach. Dr. Feld acts as their officiant. Kay vows to watch more golf with Arnold without complaining and to cut her hair shorter, while Arnold vows to watch less golf and to buy Kay good presents that aren’t for the house, like jewelry, not to complain so much, to go to a sleep study, to take Kay somewhere once a year that’s more than 200 miles away from home and isn’t to see a family member, and to tell Kay how he feels more often. Their vows are followed by a ceremonial breaking of an artificial nose that Dr. Feld brings, a callback to a joke earlier in the film. They and their guests dance, celebrate, and have a lobster dinner on the beach.
