I was a big fan of High Moon Studio’s Transformers: War for Cybertron, but this year I was let down by their Dark of the Moon movie tie-in game. DotM was obviously rushed to meet a deadline and as a result nowhere near as well made as War for Cybertron. With Fall of Cybertron set for release so soon after High Moon’s last Transformers game in Fall 2012, I’m a bit skeptical that it will be the breakout hit the original was, but it’s trailers like this that help restore my faith in High Moon.
While the trailer shows no actual gameplay, it’s very well directed and plays very similarly to the eerie Gears of War 3 “Dust to Dust” trailer, showing Optimus and the Autobots fighting for their lives against the Decepticons in the last moments of the Transformer homeworld.
