I’m not sure how much “directing” Michael Bay actually did on this new Need for Speed: The Run trailer… EA most likely gave Bay a collection of big stunt scenes from the game that they put together in which he immediately turned around and gave back to them with the instructions: “Cut every scene down to two second clips, play one after another, and throw in some engines reviving that sound similar to noises Transformers make.”
Nevertheless, Bay’s signature ADD-style of quick cuts works perfectly for this type of trailer and makes the latest Need for Speed game that uses the same Battlefield 3 Frostbite 2 graphics engine worth checking out. The Run comes out next Tuesday (November 15th) for all major gaming consoles.
