The extra scene shows a letter being delivered to Aro and the Volturi. Aro reads the message, which basically states that Carlisle has added another vampire (Bella) to his coven. The two other Volturi banter about how Carlisle is growing his coven and that the Volturis’ dispute with the Cullens is over. However, Aro replies that their business with the Cullens goes beyond a human… they have something he wants. Aro then signals two guards to take away the messenger girl, who then screams in protest.
